Thursday 23rd April – Lanhydrock (National Trust). This is now sold out (waiting list only)

Lanhydrock (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/cornwall/lanhydrock) is the quintessential country house and estate, with the feel of a wealthy but unpretentious family home. After a devastating fire in 1881 the Jacobean house was refurbished in high-Victorian style, with the best in country house design and planning and the latest mod-cons. There are formal gardens and an extensive estate. This will be a day for you to do and explore as you wish. Refreshments are available in The Park Café opposite the coach park and The Stables tea-room next to the house or you may wish to bring your own packed lunch.

Health and Safety considerations: There are three flights of shallow steps to exit and access the coach park. The Main Visitor Reception and The Stables Tea Room picnic area have step-free level access into and throughout. The gardens offer step-free level access into them and through some areas. Other points of interest are accessed via ramps/slopes or steps.

Routes around the property have ramps/slopes, gravel surfaces and cover some distance, so an accessible shuttle is available to take visitors from the Main Visitor Reception to the Gatehouse Visitor Reception. Manual wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and a tramper can also be borrowed. The National Trust recommends booking these items in advance.
