Exmouth & District

Monthly Meetings

Our monthly meetings are usually held on the second Thursday morning of each month at 10:00 for a 10:30 start. They are normally held on the top floor of The Ocean on Exmouth seafront, but from now on for the foreseeable future will be held in Holy Trinity Church, Exmouth on different dates (details below). We have an interesting range of speakers including some of our own members and have speakers booked throughout the year. For news about our recent monthly meetings, please scroll down to the Recent Meetings heading below. The photo below is by Christine Chittock.

Our Monthly Meetings in 2026

Our venue for all our monthly meetings is usually The Ocean Suite (in the building next to Exmouth Pavilion on Exmouth seafront). These are usually held on the second Thursday of each month but building work is taking place in The Ocean in the first half of 2026. So this means that the venue and dates of the first few meetings in 2026 have been altered. They will be held for the foreseeable future in Holy Trinity Church on these dates and with the usual start time of 10:00 for 10:30:

  • Thursday 21 May 2026 in Holy Trinity Church, Exmouth
  • Thursday 18 June 2026 in Holy Trinity Church, Exmouth
  • Thursday 16 July 2026 in Holy Trinity Church, Exmouth

The committee apologises for any inconvenience caused but hopes you will be able to come along to these meetings as usual.

This talk covered the recent renovations to the house and garden and the representation of it. If this is something that interests you and you want to know more, Professor Sir Muir Gray has given a presentation on a similar topic as part of the national u3a's Future Lives initiative, and a video recording is available for anyone to see. The current topic on our own u3a's Connect & Learn website (at https://sites.google.com/view/connectandlearn) is 'Live Well Longer' where there are a number of useful resources, including Muir Gray's presentation.
