Online Events are meetings held using an online technology such as Zoom. Here are some examples:
- Our Monthly Meetings in Exmouth Pavilion have been streamed live on Zoom in the past and could be streamed again in the future from The Ocean if volunteers come forward to do this - see Monthly Meetings. Meanwhile we have an archive of recordings from some of our previous Monthly Meetings on our YouTube channel - see our u3a YouTube Channel
- Our weekly Coffee and Chat on Zoom Group (every Thursday morning at 10.15 for 10.30 for an hour or so) is always on Zoom. Any Exmouth & District u3a member can join in and there is no need to register in advance. - Some of our interest groups meet online on Zoom, for example the Computer Group (in winter months), Connect & Learn, Action for Happiness, Live Well Longer, Current Affairs and Poetry. For details of these groups, please see these groups in our Groups list.
- Our own u3a Connect & Learn website is always available for all members to learn about a wide variety of topics - on your own or with other members. Why not arrange to meet up with others on Zoom or in person to share your learning? See the details of the Connect & Learn Group and the u3a connectandlearn website. Two online groups have recently been formed within Connect & Learn - Live Well Longer (currently on Zoom) and Action for Happiness (always on Zoom).
- All u3a members can join a wide range of really interesting nationally organised online talks, workshops and courses for free with our membership. Most of these opportunities are presented by members themselves, sharing their knowledge or skills with others across the movement.
