We meet at The Men's Shed premises at Clayton House, which is on the slip road that runs parallel to Salterton Road, opposite MPS Windows on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month.

The model railway hobby encompasses a number of aspects. It can simply be watching model trains roll by but it can also cover constructing model locomotives and rolling stock, creating scenery, making lineside buildings, painting models etc. you do not need to be an active modeller in order to participate and new members, with or without experience are welcome to join. Currently we have 2 layouts in operation, one in 00 gauge the other in N gauge.

The group finished a 00 gauge layout exhibited at the Exeter model railway exhibition on 21st and 22nd June 2025. We will take this to local model railway exhibitions, u3a open days etc to advertise our group and also act as an advert for u3a and Men's Shed.
